Life is not easy and life is not fair. In the face of this fact we have two options:
1) Respond as the victor 2) Respond as the victim
It is our present response to life that defines us – not our circumstances – not our past nor our future.
Understanding and applying this simple truth is very empowering.
How you respond to life is your choice. No matter how difficult this may seem, a good response is always possible. Take one step at a time – at your own natural pace. Persist, be tough and you will be the victor.
Being the victor is dependant on love and respect for yourself and others – it is not dependant on good circumstances. Sooner or later we all have to look into the face of adversity. Bad things do exist. That’s life and it is what it is.
There is no denial here, we are totally aware of reality. We fully accept the good stuff and the crap stuff.
However, you make the choice, victor or victim?
Will you move forward, flowing with the present moment, or will you lie down and die?
You need to be strong, and you will be strong by progressively building yourself up -nourishing yourself mentally and physically. We all need to plug into the Source of Life and connect with people and with nature. This is where we draw our power from.
But what does it mean to be a victor? It means that we know our lives will always work out for the best. We will grow and learn new things every day. Even when life seems unfair there is always hope in one form or another. For every problem there is a solution that will show up when the time is right.
We don’t always need to know what the solution is and often we won’t.
We don’t need to analyse or assign blame.
All we need is to choose the right response, to believe and hope.
Channelling our energy in this way will make us stronger.
Which choice are you making right now, victor or victim?
